KIDZ KAMP IN JUNE

Kidz Kamp is a weekend long camp for children sponsored by I-LEEAD a local non-profit organization serving the needs of the Deaf Community. Kidz Kamp is geared for children ages 6 - 17 who are Deaf, Deaf-Blind, Hard of Hearing, or a Child of a Deaf Adult (CODA). Kidz Kamp aims to provide a safe, fun environment promoting socialization and bonding over common experiences, similar family and cultural backgrounds. While Kidz Kamp is Deaf-friendly and majority staff are fluent in sign language, campers with minimal signing skills are welcomed as well! Most junior volunteers are previous campers and come from Deaf families. Kamp activities include swimming, water slide, zip line, team building obstacle course, games, campfires, and movie nights.

Kidz Kamp provides children a unique summer camp experience by helping to increase sense of identity and self-esteem. Although Kamp brings children from similar cultural backgrounds together to increase unity, it also connects children to the larger community and promotes developing relationships with others outside their family unit. Please visit our page to view camper testimonials and here some of the reasons Kidz Kamp is so special to the campers who attend. We cannot wait to see our returning campers and meet new campers next June!

We also provide Kidz Kamp events throughout the year like Halloween Party, Christmas Party, and Easter Party!
